sitting down facing this empty screen is becoming increasingly frequent for me.unlike in the past when the power flowed and i could write without trouble, its becoming clear that now the thoughs have clammed up and no words are flowing.

hmm.boring boring boring boring. BORING. anyone hiring anot. 7 per hour i can do anything that wont put me in any mortal danger.

the boy picked up the bottle. it was wedged in the sand, as if forgotten.
there was a note. he unscrewed the cap. took it out.
"will you be my friend?"
such simple words.
such profound words.
the boy smiled.
"yes." he said.
he carefully folded the note back into the bottle, laid the bottle gently onto the water surface, and let the waves take it away.
he turned around and walked back toward where he came from.
he remembered the loneliness. he remembered the sadness.
he remembered the familiar feel of the smooth glass. writing on the notepad, with his only good pen. slowly scrawling the words out.
"will you be my friend?"
